Custom compostable bag formats and unbranded packaging arranged for OEM specification review

Format, claims and brand execution

Custom compostable bag OEM programs with controlled claims and packaging

Select bag construction, material option, printing and packing alongside the exact evidence and destination-market wording required for the ordered SKU.

Compostability language must stay within the referenced standard, certificate holder, product code and validated construction. A generic material statement is not enough.

Buyer risk

Attractive artwork cannot compensate for an unverified product specification

Construction, end-of-life wording and evidence are interdependent. Changing film, thickness, adhesive or another component can change what is supportable.

01

Bag format is not approved

Handles, gussets, seals, rolls, perforations and closures need to match the actual use.

02

Claims exceed the available documents

“Biodegradable” and “compostable” are not interchangeable and local collection rules differ.

03

Closure or component specifications are incomplete

Ink, adhesive, drawstrings and other components may need review within the complete product claim.

Supporting documents chain

Keep every claim within the ordered SKU document scope

Qualification is strongest when each step can be checked against a controlled record.

Approval workflow

Move forward only when the previous decision is recorded

A controlled sequence reduces artwork rework, evidence gaps and repeat-order drift.

  1. Approval gate 1

    Use brief

Define what the bag carries, contains, seals or collects.

  2. Approval gate 2

    Format selection

Choose the construction and material option before artwork is finalized.

  3. Approval gate 3

    Supporting documents review

Check the proposed SKU and wording against applicable documents.

  4. Approval gate 4

    Sample and artwork

Test the actual use and approve the printed presentation.

  5. Approval gate 5

    Production control

Release only the controlled specification, files and inspection plan.

Buyer questions

Questions worth resolving before the purchase order

The exact answer still depends on the SKU, destination and approved commercial brief.

Can an existing certificate be used for any custom bag?

No. Certificate holder, product code, material, thickness range, components and validity must be checked against the ordered SKU.

Can compostable bags carry a custom logo?

Yes. Printing can be developed after the bag construction and supportable environmental wording are agreed.

Are all components automatically covered by the film evidence?

No. Closures, adhesives, inks or other components may require review. The finished construction should not be inferred from the base film alone.

What should a sample test cover?

Test dimensions, opening, carrying or sealing action, load or contents, perforation if used, print proof and pack presentation.
